Lost to endless sleep
This mortal tide will carry me
To the deep
Set in darkness
Rise in light
Nurture silence
Embrace the night
In soothing dark, I’ll stay
The roaring light is fading away
Earnestly embracing me
I occupy the astral sea
A lifetime to rephrase
Sail on undiscovered waves
Sating my eternal gaze
Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light
I’ve loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night
Through a haze of astral clarity, I guide my weary skin
I am deafened by the whispers of the moon and of her kin

The songs are masterfully composed and flow together beautifully, and the orchestration is exactly how I want metal orchestration to sound: full, playable by a real orchestra, and just as important to the music as the vocals, drums, guitar, and bass are. tonycordeshimself

I never cared about symphonic metal at all. I do very much care about folk as well as progressive metal, and so I couldn't resist after reading the third exceptional AMG review for Wilderun in a row. 'Sleep...' has been on my radar for quite some time, being graced by one of the most beckoning cover arts I have ever seen. The band more than lives up to its reputation, composing great musical pieces from start to finish. I absolutely love the multitude of influences being put together here. David Fischer

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74
